Carlson has announced the further expansion of its first-class Radisson Blu portfolio in gateway cities in Asia Pacific with the signing of the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit.

The 290-room hotel is located near Soi 27 on Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok’s prime commercial, entertainment and shopping district. The hotel is owned by G&P Asset Holdings, a major property owner in Thailand. The property is under construction and will open in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Recreational facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a full-service spa and a fitness center. Guests will enjoy a choice of dining venues including an all-day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a rooftop Italian restaurant and wine bar, a pool bar, a café, and other facilities such as an elegant high-ceiling lobby lounge and bar, and a business club lounge.

The hotel’s meetings and events facilities will include a grand ballroom, a multi-purpose function room and six boardrooms. There will be wireless, high-speed Internet access available throughout the hotel.

The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Bangkok, Sukhumvit is Carlson’s sixth hotel in Thailand. Hotels in operation include the Radisson Blu Plaza Resort Phuket Panwa Beach, the Radisson Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit, the Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok and the Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18. Currently under development as well is the Radisson Blu Resort Hua Hin.
