Peninsula Hong Kong Unveils Room Enhancement Program
The Peninsula Hong Kong is embarking on a landmark room enhancement program.
Culminating in a project that will see all 297 of the hotel’s guestrooms transformed, the two-phase enhancement program is set to kick off this January, confined to two separate buildings. Initially focusing on guestrooms in The Peninsula Tower, which will re-open in August 2012, these new rooms will pave the way for the transformation of guestrooms within the Original Building, to be fully unveiled in early 2013.
Conceived by The Peninsula Hotels in-house design team, the newly enhanced rooms will – upon completion – boast a “bespoke luxury residential feel,” according to a statement released by the company. Also set to be unveiled in 2012 are in-room technologies.
The hotel portfolio of the Peninsula comprises the Peninsula Hotels in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, New York, Chicago, Beverly Hills, Tokyo, Bangkok, Manila and Paris (opening in 2013). The property portfolio of the group includes The Repulse Bay Complex, The Peak Tower and The Peak Tramways, St. John’s Building, The Landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and the Thai Country Club in Bangkok, Thailand.
