 GETTYS, a global hospitality design, procurement, branding and development firm, has announced the completion of the interior design for the new Westin Hotel Golf Resort and Spa, Abu Dhabi.

Operated by Starwood and owned by the Abu Dhabi-based development company, Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the property is the second Westin hotel in the United Arab Emirates.

The five-star luxury resort consists of a two-story lobby and 172 guest rooms and suites. Varied food and beverage outlets include: Agadir, a Moroccan fine dining restaurant adjacent to the leisure area; Fairways, an all-day dining venue; and The Lounge coffee house, which overlooks the golf course. Augmenting these are the Lemon & Lime lobby bar and the clubby Retreat pub off the golf greens.

The venue’s leisure area features multiple pools and seating areas where GETTYS designed cabanas with The Shades as the poolside cafe.

Also welcoming guests and visitors is the 19,500 square foot conference center, including a grand ballroom, pre-function spaces, multiple meeting rooms, and a full service business center.

For the redesign, GETTYS collaborated with TDIC, Starwood, and GREC, the project's lead architect.
