Inspired by Pieter Bruegel the Elder’s painting, Extremis has launched a new furniture range – Hopper – that aims to cater to “large groups of people seated at long tables talking and having fun.”

Designer Dirk Wynants drew his inspiration from history, his own and other cultures, and even art, focusing on opportunities for people to get together. The new Hopper tables are Wynants’ contemporary interpretation of age-old long tables that can be joined together to create the desired length, with other elements such as light, water, and fire be added to them.
